Alex Murfey is a TV & film producer and photographer based in New York City … and a Kansas Citian at heart.
Alex’s segment producer credits include three seasons of the Emmy award-winning “Queer Eye,” along with truTV’s comedy travel series “101 Places to Party Before You Die.” Alex has produced for Netflix, truTV, Food Network, and TLC, building on experience in podcasts and an international comedy tour. He has built community in New York, Berlin, Austin, TX, and Kansas City during a nomadic TV career. He un-ironically believes every stranger is a friend you haven’t made yet.
Alex is an alum of Columbia College Chicago and AmeriCorps NCCC (the National Civilian Community Corps).
“Citrinitas,” a short film directed by Jackson Griffin, produced by Alex Murfey and Angelo Chammah, debuts in May 2024.
